A modern employee benefits story for a modern IT organisation
Enable U helps organisations securely, reliably and efficiently connect, integrate and manage data and applications. With more than 180 specialists, the organisation supports clients in their digital transformation through solutions including API Management, Data Management and Managed Integrations.
Following a period of strong growth, Enable U wanted to professionalise its employee benefits communications. Although its employee benefits package provided a solid foundation, the various benefits were documented across multiple sources, and the existing communication materials no longer reflected the organisation’s modern and innovative identity.

The collaboration with Not Secondary, and Paul in particular, was a very positive experience. Shortly after the start of the project, we received an initial proposal for improving the way we communicate our employee benefits across various channels, including our intranet. Through several iterations, different deliverables were developed, while we continued to refine the benefits package in response to legislative changes, acquisitions and new insights. Employee benefits may be part of HR’s day-to-day work, but they are not something the wider organisation deals with every day. Our discussions with Paul have renewed our own sense of pride in the attractive and comprehensive package we offer—one that we now communicate with enthusiasm to prospective employees and, certainly, to all our Enablers.
Challenge: Due to the organisation’s rapid growth, the communication and presentation of its employee benefits no longer reflected Enable U’s modern identity. Although several benefits had been added over the years, they were documented across multiple sources, difficult to find and insufficiently visible to both employees and candidates.
One particularly distinctive benefit—the freedom employees were given to work wherever and whenever suited them—had long been a perfect fit with Enable U’s culture. However, as this way of working became increasingly common in the market, Enable U wanted to redefine its distinctive employee benefits story in a way that remained aligned with its core values of freedom and trust.
Approach & recommendations: After reviewing the existing employee benefits package, we concluded that Enable U already had a solid foundation. The greatest opportunities therefore lay not in a complete overhaul, but in targeted improvements and clearer communication of the existing benefits.
We first mapped out all employee benefits and compared them with our BenefitsDatabase. Based on this analysis, we recommended several practical quick wins that would allow Enable U to strengthen its package without requiring significant immediate investment.
We then focused on communication. As a result of the organisation’s rapid growth, information about employee benefits had become scattered across different documents, while the design and presentation of the employee handbook no longer reflected Enable U’s modern culture.
We therefore developed a visual Benefits Statement and a concise one- or two-page overview. We also modernised both the employment agreement and the offer letter. This created a consistent, contemporary way of communicating employee benefits to current and prospective employees alike.
Result: Enable U now has a modern approach to communicating its employee benefits that reflects the organisation’s identity. Employees have a clearer understanding of the benefits available to them, while candidates gain a much better picture of what Enable U has to offer as an employer.
By combining targeted improvements with renewed communication materials, Enable U now has a future-proof foundation that will keep its employee benefits package both distinctive and visible to employees and candidates for years to come.
