From multiple schemes to one benefits framework
MSPS supports healthcare providers with factoring and clearing solutions and additional services, enabling healthcare professionals to spend more time on quality care. Growth through various acquisitions resulted in an organisation with multiple benefits packages.
MSPS wanted to harmonise these different arrangements into a single, future-proof benefits framework. In addition, the organisation was looking for a way to present all benefits clearly and accessibly to employees.

We look back on a great collaboration! Paul brought his market knowledge and experience with similar projects, which was wonderful to combine with input from our own colleagues. This led us to a truly impressive, revamped secondary benefits package. Thank you so much for all your help, advice, and expertise!
Challenge: As a result of growth through acquisitions, the MSPS Group had developed a variety of different benefits packages. Each organisation brought its own schemes, agreements and ways of working.
This not only created disparities between employees, but also made the communication and administration around benefits more complex.
MSPS therefore wanted to work towards a single, shared vision on benefits that:
- aligns with the identity and ambitions of the group;
- responds to the needs of employees;
- provides room for future growth;
- creates greater uniformity across the various entities;
- is easier to communicate and manage.
Approach & advice: To make this possible, we developed an benefits framework for the entire MSPS Group.
As a first step, we inventoried and analysed the existing benefits across the various entities. We then worked together with employees and the project team to explore which benefits best align with the wishes of employees and the vision of MSPS.
Through focus groups, inspiration sessions and collaborative working sessions, a future-proof framework was developed that can serve as a guiding principle for all current and future entities within the group.
Among others, the following benefits have been incorporated into this framework:
- Flexible exchange of public holidays;
- Bike lease through Hellorider;
- Informal care support and additional informal care leave;
- Vitality schemes, including Bedrijfsfitness Nederland;
- Volunteer leave and support for charitable causes;
- Flexible payment of holiday allowance;
- A pilot for the 9-hour working day and workations;
- The option to take a sabbatical.
In addition to the substantive harmonisation, we also provided advice on the technical implementation of the new benefits package.
Furthermore, we developed a Benefits Statement that allows the new benefits package to be presented in a clear and compelling way to both current and prospective employees.
Result: The result is a future-proof benefits framework that provides direction for all entities within the MSPS Group.
The organisation now has a clear vision on benefits, greater uniformity across the various companies, and a solid foundation for future growth and the integration of new organisations.
In addition, the benefits are more visible, more accessible and easier to communicate to employees and candidates. Administrative complexity has also been reduced, as the various benefits are now approached from a single, shared structure.
In doing so, MSPS has not only renewed its benefits package, but has also taken an important step towards greater cohesion across the group as a whole.
